Academic Integrity Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2025

Our promise: ScholarshipsGateway will never assist in submitting false documents, forged credentials, or misleading information to any university or authority. Any client requesting such assistance will have their engagement terminated immediately.

1. Our Commitment to Academic Integrity

ScholarshipsGateway exists to give international students a genuine and fair pathway to university education in Türkiye. We believe that academic integrity — honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility — is the foundation of meaningful education and a successful future.

We are committed to operating ethically at every stage of the admission process and to ensuring that students we assist represent themselves truthfully to the institutions they apply to.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

  • All students who use our consultancy, application assistance, or document preparation services.
  • All staff and representatives of ScholarshipsGateway.
  • Any third-party partners or agents acting on our behalf.

3. Prohibited Practices

The following are strictly prohibited and constitute serious violations of this policy:

  • Document forgery or falsification — altering, fabricating, or misrepresenting any academic certificate, transcript, diploma, identity document, language test result, or financial statement.
  • Impersonation — taking or arranging for another person to take any admission test, interview, or examination on behalf of an applicant.
  • Ghost-writing — writing, purchasing, or otherwise obtaining personal statements, motivation letters, essays, or any application component intended to represent the applicant's own voice and work.
  • Plagiarism in application materials — copying substantial portions of text from published sources without attribution in any application essay or personal statement.
  • False credentials — claiming qualifications, work experience, awards, or language proficiency that the applicant does not legitimately hold.
  • Bribery or improper influence — offering, soliciting, or facilitating bribes or improper payments to any university official, admissions officer, or government employee.
  • Duplicate applications with false information — submitting conflicting information to different universities about the same student.

4. Our Role in Your Application

ScholarshipsGateway provides legitimate, ethical assistance that includes:

  • Guidance — advising you on universities, programmes, and eligibility based on your genuine qualifications.
  • Feedback and editing — reviewing your personal statement or motivation letter for clarity, grammar, and structure. The ideas, experiences, and voice must be your own.
  • Document checklist assistance — helping you understand what documents are required and in what format, but never producing or altering those documents.
  • Application coordination — submitting your genuine documents to universities on your behalf at your request.
  • Translation guidance — directing you to certified translators for official document translations. We do not provide certified translations ourselves.

5. Accuracy of Information

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information and materials you provide to ScholarshipsGateway and to any university or authority. By engaging our services, you confirm that all documents, qualifications, and personal details you submit are genuine and truthful.

If you discover an error in materials already submitted to a university, you must inform us immediately so we can advise you on how to correct it properly.

6. Document Fraud & Legal Consequences

Submitting fraudulent documents to Turkish universities is a criminal offence under Turkish law, including the Turkish Penal Code (TCK). Consequences may include:

  • Immediate rejection or cancellation of university admission.
  • Expulsion and revocation of any degree already awarded.
  • Criminal prosecution and possible imprisonment.
  • Deportation and ban from re-entry to Türkiye.
  • Permanent notation on academic records shared with international bodies.

ScholarshipsGateway will cooperate fully with any university or law enforcement investigation into academic fraud.

7. Compliance with University Rules

Each Turkish university has its own academic integrity regulations, honour code, and student conduct policies. By enrolling in any university, you agree to abide by those rules in addition to this policy. We strongly encourage all students to read and understand the regulations of their chosen institution.

8. Consequences of Violations

If ScholarshipsGateway discovers or reasonably suspects that a client has engaged in any prohibited practice, we will:

  • Immediately suspend all services to that client.
  • Withdraw any pending applications submitted on their behalf where lawful and practical.
  • Notify the relevant university or authority if legally required or ethically necessary.
  • Terminate the engagement without refund.

We reserve the right to report credible evidence of fraud or criminal conduct to the appropriate authorities.

9. Reporting Concerns

If you are aware of or suspect a violation of this policy — by another applicant, a member of our staff, or any partner — please report it confidentially. All reports are treated seriously and investigated promptly.
